Open banking

Open banking is born of the foundational concepts of openness and data sharing among various banking players, thanks to APIs. Data can be collected by other banking players and used to create new services and products.

Gathered data could be related to: bank locations, distributors, transfers, past banking operations…

Open banking is possible under an EU directive on payment services dated 13 November 2007, replaced in 2015 by a directive on payment services generally referred to as PSD 2.
