Governance (data governance)

Data governance is the name given to the different rules that define the collection, processing, and use of data within a company or an organisation. It sets up a legal and organisational framework for data processing.

Implementing this type of management framework facilitates interdisciplinary management, which guarantees data quality and security, internally and externally. Defining clear data governance is the condition for companies to move forward using concrete and measurable information rather than simple intuition.

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is the guarantor of good data governance.
