CPI (Cost Per Install)

Cost per install (CPI, or sometimes cost per download/CPD) is an advertising pricing model unique to mobile apps, where advertisers pay the reseller of an advertising space based on number of installations generated.

CPI is a very useful KPI for promotion strategies in app stores. Other indicators on post-installation usage can also complement CPI (app retention rate, for example).
