CMO (Chief Marketing Officer)

The CMO or Chief Marketing Officer is the company executive who defines the company’s global marketing strategy.

The CMO leads marketing teams and coordinates initiatives whose purpose is to make the company known among potential clients, and to build an attractive, clear, and coherent brand identity to develop sales and build a strong relationship with customers. Today, the CMO is also often (directly or indirectly) in charge of a company’s digital transformation, particularly in terms of digital marketing and data marketing. The CMO’s responsibilities often overlap with those of the CDO (Chief Digital/Data Officer), with whom the CMO works in close collaboration.
