Consumers in California now have expanded privacy rights as a result of this landmark legislation, which include:
- The right to know what personal information a company collects about them and how that information is used and shared;
- With limited exceptions, they have the right to have their personal information gathered from them deleted.
- The right to refuse to have their personal information sold; and
- The right to be treated fairly when using their CCPA rights.
