CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) gives customers more control over the personal data that businesses collect about them, and the CCPA regulations outline how to execute these privacy laws.

Consumers in California now have expanded privacy rights as a result of this landmark legislation, which include:

  • The right to know what personal information a company collects about them and how that information is used and shared;
  • With limited exceptions, they have the right to have their personal information gathered from them deleted.
  • The right to refuse to have their personal information sold; and
  • The right to be treated fairly when using their CCPA rights.
